This was my first time using any sort of mapping tool, and I found Google My Maps to be very straightforward and user friendly. I was very easily able to pick up on how to search for, edit, color code, and create and use layers. I imagine you would be able to go very in-depth in mapping with this sort of tool and I hope to be able to continue to explore its features. I decided to create a few layers to designate locations on my map. These are Tourist Destinations, Habitats, and Nature Reserves/Parks/Protected Areas. I chose these in order to see which particular areas overlapped. Tourist Destinations and Nature Reserves each have their own color by layer, where the Habitats were color coded by habitat type. I also added notes to each habitat location to note the habitat type. I learned about popular tourist destinations on my recent trip to Bermuda, and was able to find nature preserves and parks on the map. I based my choices in habitats to categorize on the following source: Government of Bermuda. (n.d.). https://environment.bm/habitats
